Cher continues to perform at the Colloseum
Despite continued rumour of ill health, over the next 3 years Cher will be giving 200 performances at the Colloseum. There have been rumours that Cher has been suffering from cancer since she cancelled two shows at the Colloseum at the beginning of last October.
There will be a show four nights a week on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Cher denies the rumours and says that the cancellations were due to a sore through and nothing more. Over the course of her career much has been said about Cher and there is no doubt that she will continue to draw in crowds to the casino who will probably go on to play after the show.
Caesars Palace is one of the most famous casino resorts in the world. It is built over 85 acres of land and the architecture is all in the style of the Greeks and Romans. Jay Sarno had the idea for the casino and started building it in 1965. The impressive style of the casino has been copied by most others on the Las Vegas strip and even over the rest of the U.S. According to Sarno, he spelt the name “Caesars Palace” without an apostrophe to signify that all his guests should feel as if they are a Caesar.
The Colloseum has a capacity of 3,400 and is situated next to the celebrity chef restaurants and the famous Forum Shops at Caesars. Other world class performers who regularly appear there include Jerry Seinfeld and Bette Midler.
