Ageing Rocker and Teenage Lover

Ronnie Wood is in trouble again.  Like countless ageing rocking stars he has run off with a girl young enough to be his granddaughter.  The result is there are countless jokes doing the rounds about such situations.  Wood has a wife and to her there is nothing funny about the situation.  Ronnie Wood has been married to his wife Jo for twenty three years.  It is old news that the guitarist for the Rolling Stones band has a serious drinking problem.  According to his friends he drinks two bottles of vodka each day.

The girl who is with him is Russian and works as a waitress.  It is believed that Wood picked her up in a sleazy bar for escorts.  Wood and the blonde ran off to Ireland where the rock star owns a mansion.  It has been reported that his wife has ‘begged’ the eighteen year old Ekaterina Ivanova to leave her husband alone.  A person close to the family has mentioned that Wood is very ‘vulnerable’ and that the eighteen year old was using him.  Perhaps many would believe it more accurate to say they are both using each other.

Jo Wood is supposed to be staying with friends.  A staff member who lives in a cottage at the couple’s Kingston-upon-Thames property has described Ronnie Wood as ‘sick’ and ‘in need of help’.  She has known the couple for fifteen years.  She did say that both Ronnie and Jo were meeting at their home in Surrey to discuss the developments.  The member of staff described Jo as being a ‘smart woman’.  According to her Ronnie knows he needs to be helped and that Jo is the one he always turns to.

It does not seem likely that Jo will allow the eighteen year old to continue influencing her husband who is a chronic alcoholic and could die from the amount of alcohol he is consuming.  It seems that the teenager has a rock star ego herself.  She has decided that she is Wood’s ‘new muse’.  Wood is drinking and painting the blonde in County Kildare.  The two were seen out at a nearby restaurant.  Both giggled like teenagers and went outside to have a fag every once in awhile.  One onlooker supposedly remarked ‘it was not a pretty sight’.  But the geriatric rocker is worth around seventy million pounds and rock stars have never been shy about using their assets.
