Wayne First To Wed - Will Prince William Be Next?

Bookmakers William Hill were hammered on their Valentine special as punters lumped on the 6/1 outsider Wayne Rooney and Colleen Mcloughlin to be the first celebrity couple to get married in their list.

William Hill cut the price four times from the original 6/1 to Evens before closing the book and fully expect the Rooneys to walk down the aisle in the near future.

William Hill have now re-opened the betting, replacing the Rooneys with Teddy and Danielle.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have also leap frogged Zara Phillips and Mike Tindal, they are now the 3/1 second favourites to be the first couple to walk down the aisle.

"We are hoping that the rush of money for Wayne and Colleen was an ill informed 'chinese whispers' rumour but do not hold out much hope. In the new list, Charlotte Church & Gavin are the favourites but Prince William and Kate Middleton could give them a run for their money!" said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
