Snow Joke For Bookies As Punters Pile On White Valentine's Day
With heavy snowfall forecast for the next few days bookmakers William Hill have seen a rush of money from punters keen to pile on snow falling on Valentine's Day and have cut the price of snow falling at London Heathrow from 7/1 to 4/1.
William Hill also offer 4/1 for snow at Manchester Airport and 5/1 at Birmingham Airport.
"We have had a flurry of bets on a white Valentine's Day and have cut the price accordingly, including one bet of £500 at 5/1 for snow in London and should it snow he will collect £3,000," said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
William Hill think it is a 10/1 shot that 10cm of snow will fall on London on Thursday 8th of February but sadly they have been unable to find an independent adjudicator to measure the snow.
