Viva Las Vegas - Siegfried And Roy/Elton John
More performers who have made Las Vegas the entertainment capital of the world.
Siegfried And Roy
When Siegfried and Roy arrived in Las Vegas more than 30 years ago, a leading hotel executive said to them, "Boys, I have to tell you, magic doesn't work in this town."
Is that so? In their three plus decades in Las Vegas Siegfried and Roy have performed for more than £25million people - in fact, it's been noted that no other Las Vegas performers have been able to consistently match their audience attendance records.
Elton John
Standing in for Celine Dion at the Colosseum when she's on leave is none other than 'Rocket Man' Sir Elton John, doing a show called red piano.
The Colosseum has also hosted performances by Mariah Carey, Tim McGraw and Gloria Estefan. "I can't do this show anywhere else in the world except here," the entertainer said. "It's back to costume changes and Velcro."
The production is filled with an eclectic mix of songs and costumes, and harks back to the 'flying sequins' of Elton John's flamboyant stage shows of the past.
