After Helen Mirren described herself as feeling like a greyhound in the race for an Oscar, William Hill who, as she pointed out, make her 1/25 favourite (£25 invested to win one) to win the Best Actress Oscar, say that in their opinion she is a classy thoroughbred about to cruise to victory in the acting equivalent of the Derby.
"Helen has already twice proved herself to be the punters friend, after winning at both the Golden Globes and the BAFTAs and I am sure punters will be reinvesting on her to win the Best Actress Oscar and also the Queen to win Best Film at 14/1," said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
"Perhaps if she wins the Oscar she will be able to describe herself as Actress By Royal Appointment."
