With 22 Cabinet members to be offered the choice of a Jaguar or a Toyota Prius as their official car, bookmakers William Hill are in little doubt that the majority will opt for the former - and are offering odds of 1/6 that 16 or more choose the Jag; 4/1 that 11-15 do so; 12/1 that just 6-10 choose the Jag and 33/1 that 0-5 do so.
"Offered the chance between a prestigious, fast car and an ecologically sounder, but somewhat less classy option we think that the great majority of Cabinet members are unlikely to be able to resist opting for the former." said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
