Give Thanks For Being Married To A Faithful Mate

Anyone married to a faithful mate has a lot to be thankful for, says infidelity expert Ruth Houston, founder of Infidelity Advice.

With infidelity now at epidemic proportions, faithful spouses are in short supply. Infidelity in one form or another (emotional infidelity, internet infidelity, same sex infidelity, workplace infidelity, female infidelity) currently affects 80% of all marriages today.

Most Marriage Mates Cheat

Houston, author of Is He Cheating on You ? - 829 Telltale Signs and founder of Infidelity Advice, cites statistics from several infidelity studies:

55% to 75% of men (married and single) cheat on their mates.

Female infidelity has increased 50% in the past 10 years.

45-55% of married women and 50-60% of married men engage in extramarital sex at some time or another during their marriage.

60% of husbands and 40% of wives will have an affair at some point.

60% of the people who admitted to cheating said their partner did not know about their affair.

Houston says: "Although most husbands and wives take it for granted that their patner is faithful, we can see from the statistics that not many married persons can truthfully make that claim. People who honor their marriage vows have become the exception, rather than the rule."

The Innocent Spouse Is Still the Last To Know

But Houston continues, "What I find most disturbing are the studies which indicate that most infidelity victims (70% of married women and 54% of married men) have no idea their marriage mate is having an affair. And I attribute this to a failure to recognize the telltale signs. Since most cheaters will cover up the obvious signs of infidelity, the unsuspecting spouse who's unfamiliar with the many subtle signs of infidelity will always be the last to know."

So any husband or wife with a faithful mate has a lot to be thankful for. It's evident from current infidelity statistics that faithful mates are few and far between.
