Bet This Is The End Of Big Brother

Bookmakers William Hill have pushed out the price of Channel 4 axing the present series of Big Brother from 6/4 to 50/1, after the eviction of Jade Goody.

But with the Channel 4 board meeting to discuss the future of the show, William Hill offer 3/1 that they will not commission a further series of Celebrity Big Brother.

"Big Brother is one of the few bankers in the Channel 4 armoury and I am sure that they would not make the decision lightly, that said Jade Goody might have left them with little choice," said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.

The axe may well be hanging over Celebrity Big Brother but the bookies are confident that the non celebrity version will survive and offer 6/1 that no further series is commissioned.

Shilpa Odds On To Win As Punters Pile On

The recent rows in the house have done wonders for Shilpa's popularity and William Hill have cut her price of winning the show from a 5/1 outsider on Thursday last week to 8/11 favourite.

"The biggest bet for Shilpa to win is a £2,700 and there are dozens of £1,000+ bets in the book. It is very difficult to see how anyone can compete with the positive publicity that she has received," said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.

Cleo is the 5/1 second favourite with Dirk offered at 11/2, Whilst Danielle and Jo have been tarred by the Goody brush and are the rank outsiders at 50/1.
