Bookies Expect Deluge On Wet Christmas

As the weather continues to go crazy, bookmakers William Hill have pushed out all their White Christmas odds to double what they were at this time last year and have opened the betting on a wet or dry Christmas in the Capital.

William Hill offer 4/6 that London sees rain on Xmas day and 11/10 that the 25th is dry. They also offer 20/1 that the record hottest temperature on Christmas day will be beaten.

"The White Christmas betting is very quiet, so we have opened a book on a wet or dry Xmas and judging by the current weather, I think we will see a deluge of bets on wet ," said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
