Aisleyne Set For Big Brother Battle
Bookies have slashed the odds on Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace winning Big Brother after a flurry of bets.
Both Ladbrokes and William Hill have cut the 27-year-old model's odds to 3/1, making her second favourite to win after musician Pete Bennett, at 1/4.
"The last 24 hours have seen a huge weight of money for Aisleyne, forcing us to cut the price," said William Hill spokesperson Rupert Adams.
The winner, who receives £100,000, will be revealed on Friday's programme.
Londoner Aisleyne, who models and works in promotions, entered the house as a replacement contestant during the second week of the series.
She has not previously been considered a favourite, with William Hill putting her in joint fourth place at the beginning of the week.
However, she has gained popularity with Big Brother fans on the internet.
Television website Low Culture has mounted a campaign to have Aisleyne declared winner after noticing a groundswell of support for her on its messageboard.
"She's proved to be a little more identifiable, more human, than a lot of people who are in there this year," said Steve Perkins, who helps to run the website. "People think she's been quite hard done by, so they've come up with this project to get her to win."
However, Aisleyne still faces stiff competition from Pete, who is odds-on favourite to take the Big Brother title.
The 24-year-old, who has Tourette Syndrome, has been in pole position for most of the series's 13-week run.
Welsh lifeguard Glyn Wise is third favourite to win, with odds of 10/1.
Nikki Grahame is at 40/1, Richard Newman is at 66/1 and Jennie Corner is listed with odds of 100/1 to win.
