Online poker games are quickly moving up to overtake traditional casino poker games. There are various reasons for this. One of the most popular is simply convenience. The prize money is as real as that in traditional casinos and in some cases, of a higher value than what is seen in land based casinos.

Pokerstars.com capitalized on this growing popularity by hosting the World Series of Online Poker event. Over the course of the two day main event, the website handed out over $11 million in cash and prizes. This drew the attention of poker playing greats such as Christian Harder, Alex Ryan and Dustin Woolf.
