UK Adds Chartwell to Online Casinos

Last updated: 03/07/2008 08:19

The UK Gambling Commission has just allowed licenses for online casinos that have Chartwell Technology.  The licenses are both remote and non remote which means they are allowed to operate online as casinos and betting sites.  They have an innovative software platform that could have the online casinos in the UK a step above the other options.

The Chartwell Company will continue developing new software for the UK with such a high clearance.  At the moment many of their programmes are in the testing process for certification, but soon like many other software companies, they will be online at several casinos.  The software will be the Random Number Generator technology to make sure the programmes are completely above board.  This is a regulation all online casinos must follow to have fair odds.

Chartwell of course promises to be fair and responsible in the gaming industry to continue offering their consumers the best that they have.  It seems that Chartwell may soon become the top casino software to be used in the UK with the new licenses and agreements.  For the moment the most well known names have been Microgaming, Cryptologic, and Playtech.

Chartwell is not a UK based company, but is in fact Canadian.  Chartwell provides online casino games, bingo, poker and soft games.  The soft games include instant win and scratch off online games.  Like most online casino software companies they provide downloadable games as well as instant flash games.

For all online casinos they are willing to make software specifically for the online casino as well as other software to share at several online sites.

It remains to be seen if Chartwell can be the top provider in the UK and whether consumers will enjoy the games.  It seems for the UK industry the move to award the licenses was about thinking ahead.  With more games the industry can supply more consumers and improve the choice of games on offer.

While the games have yet to be fully launched, Chartwell is expecting to have several games online in the next month.  Part of this move for acceptance in the UK market was also the EU agreement.  The agreement states that the UK and other countries must have open markets for the online casino industry to offer fair trade.
