PartyGaming In Trouble With Spamming
E-Mail spam is problem all over the Internet and no matter how careful you are about who you give you address to, some of them still manage to slip through the net. Online casinos have often been under fire for using e-mail spam. The sad part about this is that most online casinos are not the ones that are actually doing the spamming. While most websites are diligent about what they send out to people â€" especially when they are faced with the repercussions for spamming â€" some websites simply don’t care.
Lately, PartyGaming, the parent company of Party Poker, has been embroiled in a spamming fiasco. Many people have been receiving a barrage of spam mail that seems to be coming from the many different PartyGaming casinos. When people registered complaints with PartyGaming, they were summarily ignored and the spamming ‘campaign’ continued. The spam that people have been receiving has been advertising for casinos belonging to IGlobalMedia Entertainment, Global Gaming Net and their affiliate program, AffClub.com. PartyGaming purchased this group of casinos and their affiliates in January of 2007.
Experts in the online gaming community have not been able to identify the true source of the spamming from PartyGaming and their new friends. It is possible that they are also harvesting addresses from other websites. Regardless of where they are getting their addresses, every attempt to get them to cease their spamming has failed. Most of the experts have been blown off by IGlobalMedia Entertainment and AddClub.com when they have complained about the spam e-mails. Some of the subject lines that have shown up have been in rather poor taste.
Many online casino, poker room, and bingo review sites are recommending that players steer clear of any IGlobalMedia Entertainment websites until this issue has been resolved. The sites include: 50 Stars Casino, Carnival Casino, Casino King, Casino Las Vegas, Club Dice Casino, Enter Casino, Fair Poker, Magic Box Casino, Miss Bingo, Noble Poker and Swiss Casino.
If you want to make a stand against this kind of behaviour, contact the casinos or close your account at these sites and let them know why.
Until the spamming is stopped, these sites are going to continue to lose their credibility. Maybe if they lose enough members, they will pay attention to the complaints that are being issued.
