50/1 No White Christmas Until 2050
William Hill had a mixed Christmas with their festive flutters, it started badly when Leona was confirmed as the Christmas number 1 costing the industry a six figure sum but the complete lack of snow across the country refilled the bookies coffers.
William Hill now offer 14/1 that London has a White New Year and 10/1 that Christmas 2007 is a snowy one.
The X Factor winner 2007 is the unbackable 1/100 favourite to have the Christmas number 1 in 2007.
"The dominance of the X Factor means that betting on the Christmas number 1 is likely to be consigned to the history books and White Christmas could go the same way if global warming continues to gather pace. Sadly I think the 50/1 for no white Christmas before 2050 is your best bet," said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
White New Year: 10/1 Aberdeen, 10/1 Glasgow, 12/1 Birmingham, 12/1 Belfast, 14/1 London, Exeter.
