Gaming Partners International Receives an Order from Venetian Macau Casino Resort

Last updated: 13/03/2008 16:49

Gaming Partners International Corporation, a leading manufacturer and supplier of casino currency and other table game supplies, announced that it has received an order for approximately 1.6 million B&G chips from Las Vegas Sands, a leading casino operator, for its Venetian Macau Resort Hotel. The Bourgogne et Grasset brand chips will incorporate exclusive security features such as high security holograms, UV pigments, Laser Lock infrared pigments and see-through inserts.

GPI is currently supplying all the casino operators in Macau where it has a dominant market share in casino currency. The Company's position is strengthened by recent announcements that Macau casino operators are entrusting GPI with the supply of their inventory of gaming chips and plaques.

The B&G chips for Venetian Macau will rank among the highest security chips ever made by the GPI group. GPI has supplied chips to Sands Macau for the last three years, and the continued endorsement of one of the region's leading casino operators speaks to the sophistication, elegance and quality of B&G products.

"Our exclusive security features and high quality standards combined with tightly controlled production facilities and procedures guarantee the best possible level of security and integrity when it comes to the supply of a casino currency" said Christophe Leparoux, GPI International Sales and Marketing Manager. "The management team at LVS Venetian has already experienced GPI's service with the supply of chips to Sands Macau over the last three years and we are particularly proud and grateful for their renewed support and confidence shown in our company and products."

GPI supplies the B&G brand gaming chips and plaques made in Beaune, France as well as the Bud Jones gaming chips from Las Vegas directly to casinos worldwide. Management believes that beyond the intrinsic quality and sophistication of the products, this direct contact between the customers and a long-established manufacturer is key to a successful partnership, particularly in an extremely demanding and challenging market such as Macau.

Gerard Charlier, president and chief executive officer of GPI said, "We have been successful in Macau and in the worldwide gaming market because of our specialization in casino currency supply. Operators know that they can rely on our company and our products and with 125KHz and 13.56MHz RFID technology available to our casino customers, we are able to address the distinct needs of each casino for both security and operational applications such as player tracking and chip inventory accounting."

The company will exhibit at the forthcoming G2E Asia, which will be held on June 13-14. The Company expects to display a new line of innovative plaques designs and finishes as well as a full range of gaming chips, from three styles of wheelchecks to low-end value chips, the Bud Jones chips and the highly secure Bourgogne et Grasset products.
