Robert's The £100,000 Lotto Winner
A Leigh man who bought a £104,612 lottery win has been revealed as 22-year-old Robert Brown.
He was the organiser of a syndicate of 10 employees from Warrington two-way radio manufacturer, London Communications.
Robert, who joined the company a year ago, was at home on the night of the draw looking after his nine-month-old son Owen, when he checked the syndicate's numbers.
He said: "After trying to get Owen to bed, I realised that I hadn't checked the numbers so I got the tickets and switched on Teletext."
"I wanted to tell the rest of the syndicate straight away but I had no credit on my mobile so I quickly dressed Owen, then went to a local phone box to call my fiancee Maria, my boss, and fellow syndicate member Alan."
The ticket was bought at Cannings News, in Leigh's Spinning Gate Shopping Centre. The same shop sold a winning ticket in May last year to Leigh woman Eileen Williams, who won £2,386,386.
