County Couple Receives $10,000 Powerball Prize
Samantha Heistand and Jim Blanck of Manheim, Lancaster County, matched 4-of-5 white ball numbers plus the red Powerball number in the February 8, 2006 Powerball drawing to win a $10,000 prize.
Pennsylvania Lottery officials today presented a check to the couple at Molly's convenience store, 35 Doe Run Road in Manheim, Lancaster County, where the winning ticket was purchased. John Pearsall, manager of Molly's, hosted the event. The Lottery's Harrisburg area manager, Damon Baltimore, and district lottery representative Jeff McKay, presented the couple their oversized, commemorative winnings check.
Powerball pays a $10,000 prize to players who match 4-of-5 white balls plus the red Powerball number; the prize is awarded in a one-time payment, less 25 percent federal withholding. This winning ticket was one of 16 Pennsylvania Lottery tickets that matched 4-of-5 white balls plus the red Powerball number in the February 8, 2006 drawing.
