Casino Promises 500 City Jobs

Aspinalls will move in to the new £30m Salubrious Place leisure development in the Wind Street area of Swansea.
Work on the 100,000 square feet complex is set to start in September with the aim of opening in 2006.
The company says prizes of up to £1m will be on offer on either the slot machines or gaming tables.
Director Damian Aspinall said the UK casino would be among the first in a series of new regional casinos operated by the company following the Government's review of licensing in the UK.
"What we are planning for Swansea will be different from anything Wales will ever have seen before," he said.
He said it would include an auditorium capable of seating 400 people for pop acts, shows and cabarets.
Mr Aspinall is the millionaire eldest son of the late John Aspinall, and also runs the animal parks founded by his father, as well as an online casino business.
"Our gaming areas will cater for everything from the types of games you'd find at Monte Carlo through to electronic gaming and even slot machines," he added.
Mr Aspinall said the casino was planning to open its own training school for the 500 full and part-time staff.
"One of our key aims will be to recruit from the local workforce whenever and wherever possible and that will mean establishing a full training academy at Swansea," he added.
Salubrious Place is being developed by Brunswick Mansford Wales.
Director Richard Hayward said: "Salubrious Place will create a unique new leisure experience for Swansea.
"We'll be making further announcements over the coming weeks which will illustrate the calibre of tenants being attracted to the development."
