Slough Residents Consulted Over UK Casinos
Members of the public are being offered the chance to give their opinion on whether new UK casinos should be allowed to be set up in Slough.
Following changes in the law brought in by the Gambling Bill the council is consulting residents on the possibility of licensing the new-style UK casinos.
Under the new laws casinos can now open 24 hours and have unlimited jackpots.
The public consultation will include a telephone survey, a face-to-face survey and an online survey.
Amanda Venning, from Slough Borough Council, said: "This is a chance for residents to put forward their opinions and let us know what they want for their town.
"We want to emphasise that the council is not saying that casinos will be allowed. The consultation is to see whether we should have a policy that allows people to make planning applications for casinos."
