Racetrack And Casino To Open Employment Centre
The Meadows Racetrack and Casino has announced it will open its Employment Centre on Monday, February 26 2007.
The Centre will be located in The Adios Room next to the racetrack grandstand.
"We encourage individuals to apply online to avoid possible long wait times at the employment Centre," said Mike Graninger, vice president and general manager of The Meadows. "Once completed, The Meadows will create 400 family-sustaining jobs and contribute millions to the local economy."
Graninger noted mostly all local companies are being used to help construct both the temporary and permanent casinos. "Our new Employment Centre is another opportunity for local residents to work with us on an exciting new venture," he said.
The Employment Centre is also opening as officials from The Meadows prepare to participate in the NAACP Diversity Job Fair on Thursday, Feb. 22 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Centre in Pittsburgh.
A $450 million project that will provide a fully integrated gaming and racing experience in Washington County, The Meadows Racetrack & Casino will open a temporary slots facility this spring, making it the first gaming facility to open in western Pennsylvania.
