William Hill have installed John McDonnell as a 100/1 outsider to become the next Labour leader following his decision to put himself forward as a candidate for the top job in British Politics. Gordon Brown remains hot favourite to succeed Tony Blair at 1/4, Alan Johnson is the 6/1 second favourite with David Miliband offered at 8/1.
William Hill's have cut the price of Tony Blair leaving office in 2006 from 11/4 to 2/1 but still think he is most likely to go during 2007 - the 11/10 favourite, while he is 8/1 to stay around long enough to beat Mragaret Thatcher's record eleven and a half year term of office.
William Hill have also slashed the odds about the next General Election resulting in a Hung Parliament, from 5/1 to 9/4, while the Tories are 4/6 favourites to end up with the moest seats, with Labour at 11/10 and the Lib-Dems 80/1.
