Gold Cup Favourite Kauto 5-2 To Not Complete The Course

Kauto Star, the 7-4 favourite with William Hill for the totesport Gold Cup, is rated a 5-2 shot not to complete the Gold Cup course. Paul Nicholls' awesome seven year old, who has not been beaten since falling in last years Queen Mother Champion Chase, is 2-7 to complete the 3m2f course.

William Hill spokesman Ben Clarke added: "We know what a great engine Kauto has but his jumping has almost cost him his last two races and the last time he ran at Cheltenham he fell." He continued: "I can envisage the 5-2 about him not completing the course being quite popular as the general consensus of opinion is that he would only have to stand up to win."
