Mega Millions Jackpot Climbs To $88 Million

The Mega Millions jackpot is climbing again. Friday's drawing produced a total of 600,892 Mega Millions winning tickets in 12 states, including six tickets that came within one number of winning it all.

No ticket matched all six numbers to win the $74 million jackpot, so the jackpot for the Tuesday, April 3 Mega Millions drawing grows to an estimated $88 million.

The winning numbers in Friday's drawing were: 15-23-37-48-53 and the Mega Ball number was 22.

The six tickets that came so close to winning the jackpot did so by matching the first five numbers and only missing the Mega Ball number.

This jackpot has been growing since March 6, when Mega Millions created two multimillionaires from its record $390 million jackpot. The odds of winning the jackpot are approximately one in 176 million. The odds of winning any of the Mega Millions prizes are approximately 1 in 40.
