Planet Hollywood casino opens in style
Planet Hollywoods new casino resort in Las Vegas is set to open with a glitzy celebration to be held on November 15th.
Formerly the Aladdin, this hotel had a makeover in April 2007, and has been remodeled on the movie theme that characterizes Planet Hollywood.
Organizers say they are throwing the biggest party Las Vegas has ever seen, some claim for the party city of lights.
The opening celebration weekend will showcase top entertainment, including the new film by comedian Kat Williams, a private performance by Jon Stewart, Bruce Willis blues band, music by Earth, Wind & Fire and an appearance by Barbara Streisand.
One reason to play at Planet Hollywoods casino is the opportunity to play poker with a pro. Six days a week you can join one of The Grinder tournaments and play against Michael The Grinder Mizrachi, for a buy in of $110, which gets you 1500 chips. If you manage to beat the pro, you win $300.
