Leominster Record First Win Of Season
| Leominster Record First Win Of Season An enforced break for January, with Leominster Town, sponsored by CasinoTimes.co.uk, having all their games cancelled, appeared to have worked wonders for them as they recorded their first league win of the season, beating Fownhope 6 - 4. Honours were even for the first quarter of an hour but a break through by new signing Dan George put Town ahead. Adie Vaughan ensured extended their lead to give them a two goal advantage at half time. The second period saw both sides serve up a goal fest. Leominster went three ahead with the game's best strike - a volley from George - whilst Fownhope replied with a close range effort as the visiting defenders appealed for off side. Jason Evans restored the three goal advantage to be followed by George's hat trick strike. Seemingly home and dry, Town then had to weather a determined fight back from the home side who put away a penalty plus a fine angled shot into the top corner. A second penalty however was well stopped by Leominster keeper Ryan Bufton to take the sting out of Fownhope's comeback. George capped his top display with number six with Fownhope completing their tally in the final minute. Next Saturday Town have a home game in the League when they entertain Hinton. £500 FREE.
