William Hill cannot choose between Duncan James and Stephen Gately and consequently have made them joint favourites to win Dancing On Ice, which starts on Saturday.

Also in the field are Lee Sharpe at 7/1; Ulrika Jonsson 10/1, Kyran Bracken 12/1; Kay Burley 16/1 and the outsider is Phil Gayle at 20/1.

"At this early stage the odds are based on fan base alone and you don't get much bigger than Boyzone and Blue. That said these shows always throw up a surprise and Kyran Bracken could be this years surprise package," said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
