Lottery Winner Faces Crown Court Trial
Norfolk lottery winner Michael Carroll is to face crown court trial accused of breaching an anti-social behaviour order (Asbo).
The former dustman, 22, denied breaking the terms of the order, which was made on June 28, when he appeared at King's Lynn Magistrates Court today.
Carroll, whose address was given in court as Felbrigg Close, Downham Market, is alleged to have incited a friend to assault another man on July 16 at Wretton near Downham.
Gary Starling appeared for the prosecution and Jakki Upton represented Carroll.
He was given the order after admitting causing almost £3000 damage by firing ball-bearings at property and cars with a catapult.
He is due to appear at magistrates court again on September 7 when the case will be committed to crown court.
Carroll scooped a £9.7m jackpot in November 2002 with the first ticket he ever bought.
