| UK Casino Times > Casino News 22 November 2006 PA Gaming Control Board Names Chief Financial Officer The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has unanimously appointed Eileen H. McNulty as its first Chief Financial Officer. Since 2003, McNulty has served as Executive Deputy Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, an agency she also served as Secretary from 1991 to 1995 as a member of Governor Robert P. Casey Sr.'s cabinet. "Eileen has already been an integral part of the Gaming Control Board team through her coordination of the Department of Revenue's role in the implementation of slot machine gaming in Pennsylvania," said PGCB Executive Director Anne Neeb. "Her appointment full-time to this agency provides us with another highly talented and dedicated professional who will assure the success of the gaming industry in Pennsylvania and the financial benefits it will bring to our citizens." During McNulty's tenure as Secretary of Revenue, the Department implemented the administration of Allegheny and Philadelphia County Sales Tax, implemented electronic funds transfer, reduced processing time for corporation tax settlements, and initiated new compliance programs. In her second stint with Revenue, besides her leadership on gaming issues, McNulty initiated a reorganization of the Department that centralized control over information technology applications and coordinated the activities of the Governor's Business Tax Reform Commission, culminating in a unanimous report issued in November 2004. A graduate of Michigan State University with a BA in Economics, McNulty has also worked as public policy consultant, conducting extensive research on a variety of tax and economic issues while writing in a number of professional publications and journals. She has also worked in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and the Michigan Department of Management and Budget. |
