Big Benn Gamble

Last updated: 13/03/2008 16:37

Hilary Benn has been backed from 13/8 to 5/4 favourite to win the race to become Deputy Labour Leader with William Hill who also offer 2/1 Alan Johnson; 6/1 Cruddas; Harman; 10/1 Blears; 16/1 Hain.

"Political gamblers believe the time is right for a big Benn gamble and believe they have clocked the value in backing Tony's boy to alarm his rivals" said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe."It is beginning to look like a two horse with only Benn and Johnson being seriously backed."
