Sponsors Cut Ansar For Plate Glory
After a string of substantial wagers, sponsors William Hill were forced to cut Ansar from 7-1 into 6-1 clear favourite for this years Galway Plate. The Dermot Weld charge will be seeking his third win in the plate, and his eight success at the Galway Festival.
Tony Kenny, William Hill's Irish spokesman said "It was only a matter of time before they came for Ansar. Even though he's getting on in age, his record around Galway is second to none, and with Dermot Weld looking after the gelding, there'll be no horse better prepared for this years William Hill Galway plate."
