UK Casino Times - UK Land-Casinos Set For Comping and Loyalty
UK Land-Casinos Set For Comping & Loyalty 22 January 2004 UK minister for Gambling Lord Andrew McIntosh has given a seal of approval to the introduction of US style comping and loyalty cards into UK Land Based Casinos, claiming that they provide a win-win situation. Although most UK online casinos offer new players a free money 'sign up' bonus, plus further bonuses for regular player, land-based casinos in the UK have not yet followed their online counterparts by doing the same. Speaking to the Parliamentary Scrutiny Committee, which is charges with responsibility for assessing the government's deregulation plans, he said: "I think loyalty cards have very significant advantages. In the United States all the casinos have loyalty cards which are taken up by about 80 percent of their customers. Casinos like it because it helps them in marketing terms and because it enables them to identify those who should have inducements." Related pages: Also see: UK
