Pokertube: YouTube for the online casino industry
As part of the rising Web 2.0 trend, the online casino industry has decided it wants a piece of the action. Following the popularity of YouTube, the poker world now has its own version for sharing poker movies.
At PokerTube, run by PokerNews, players can upload their own poker videos for public viewing. Members can upload any kind of clip that concerns poker. In addition to capturing live play, there are short movies, documentaries, card tricks and videoblogs.
Official footage, news and interviews will also be distributed through the site. Current clips show interviews with Chris Moneymaker and the late Chip Reese sharing pearls of poker wisdom.
One of the most popular aspects of PokerTube is the learning platform. By watching top players in action, beginners and even more experienced players can pick up useful tips to improve their game.
Live tournaments will be broadcast, enabling poker fans to watch the dramatic finals of the World Series of Poker among others, with the ability to fast forward to the interesting bits. You can also check out WSOP tournaments from days gone by, going back to the 1970s.
Poker Tube was built as a forum for players to share stories, clips, tricks and classic poker games, as well as connecting people who are passionate about poker.
