UK poker club opens Dusk till Dawn
Good news for Midlands poker players as the Dusk Till Dawn poker club finally opened this week, becoming the UKs first legal poker club.
After 2 years of conflict and licensing issues, managing director Rob Young finally got the green light for the long-awaited project. Competition from nearby casinos, which campaigned against the club, also stalled the opening.
Last weekend the club hosted its first big event, a £500 + £50 buy-in, with 180 players including some professional players. It was a sellout and a huge success.
Dusk Till Dawn has 45 tables and is the largest club of its kind in Western Europe.
