F 1 Title Odds Suspended
With uncertainty surrounding the developing situation regarding the alleged 'spying' activities between Ferrari and McClaren, bookmakers William Hill have temporarily suspended their book on the outcome of the Formula One title race, and confirmed that they will be settling bets on the outcome of the F1 World Title and the Constructors' Championship on the basis of how the standings are at the time of the podium ceremony on the final day of the season.
"Any inquiries or investigations which go on beyond the final day of the season will not be taken into account for betting purposes, but any punishments or points deductions which might be levied before the final day of the campaign will count for betting purposes" clarrified William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
