Bet Top Temperatures Will Be Beaten
It looks like spring has
finally sprung and following predictions of an Indian
summer, bookmakers William
Hill have trimmed
the price of temperatures exceeding the golden 100F in 2007
from 10/1 to 8/1 and offer 12/1 that the highest recorded
temperature will be beaten this year.
The record currently
stands at 101.3.
"We would not have
expected to see money for temperatures to exceed 100F so
early in the year but the glorious weather over the last
twenty four hours has driven punters into the betting shops
and later in the summer there could be hundreds on thousands
of pounds riding on the temperature topping 100f." said
William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
