Will
Jowell Throw In The Towel?
The failure of the Super
casino bid has dealt a massive blow to the Culture Secretary
Tessa Jowell, according to bookmakers William
Hill.
The bookies have doubled
the price of her becoming the next Labour leader from 50/1
to 100/1 and have lengthened her from 50/1 to 66/1 to
becomes the next Chancellor and from 20/1 to 33/1 for her to
become the next Deputy leader of the Labour
party.
William Hill also offer
10/1 that Ms Jowell leaves her position as the Culture
Secretary before Tony Blair leaves number 10.
"The Casino debacle has
dealt a terrible hand to Tessa Jowell and one with which
that she is highly unlikely to be able to bluff her way out
of trouble." said William Hill's spokesman Rupert
Adams.
