Tony Blair Arrest Odds CutLabour

William Hill have slashed their odds about Tony Blair being arrested or charged for any offence during 2007 after the re-arrest of Lord Levy.

The bookies have cut the odds about Tony Blair being arrested from 12/1 to 7/1 and for him to be charged with an offence from 25/1 to 14/1.

"We have taken bets of up to £1000 a time for Mr Blair to be arrested or charged with any offence this year and the news about Lord Levy sparked another flurry of interest in the bets, causing us to cut the odds significantly." said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Meanwhile, William Hill believe Tony Blair will cease to be Prime Minister within four months, and make him 11/10 to stand down in May. They make July 4/1 second favourite and also offer 5/1 April; June; 10/1 March; 14/1 August; 20/1 September; 25/1 February; 33/1 October; 66/1 January; 50/1 any other month.

"Despite rumors that Mr Blair would like to stay longer, events seem to be conspiring to force him out sooner rather than later" said William Hill's spokesman.
