Rugby - Ireland Hot Favourite But
Who Will Come Second?
William
Hill opened their
forecast betting for the Six Nations, which starts on
Saturday.
England are offered at
11/2 to finish behind the favourites, Ireland, and the
bookies offer 13/2 that England win with Ireland finishing
second.
England are by far the
best backed nation in the tournament with Hills facing a six
figure payout should they win.
"This year's Six Nations
is perhaps the most open for many years but punters see
England as value, probably based on past glories and we will
be hoping that England don’t click back into gear as we
will be seriously out of pocket if they win," said William
Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
