Ticket Rush For Euro Millions
Lottery
Ticket sales for tonight's
£120m Euro
Millions draw are
expected to reach record levels. Strictly Come Dancing
presenter Tess Daly has been drafted in to publicise the
jackpot - set to be the world's biggest if a single person
wins.
Sales in the UK could be
the highest of all the nine countries taking part in the
draw, Lottery operator Camelot said.
Many people will
buy
tickets online for
Euro Millions.
The UK was second only to
France in last week's pan-European rush for
tickets.
The top Euro Millions
prize has already rolled 11 times and according to the
game's rules, it must be won on the 12th week.
If no winners hit the
jackpot tonight, the £120m will be paid out to winners
in the next level of the draw.
Camelot expects UK ticket
sales to rise by 650% on a normal week because of the huge
prize.
To hit the jackpot,
players must match all five main numbers and two Lucky Star
numbers.
Bigger lottery jackpots
have been previously offered in the US. But the winners
opted to receive smaller amounts in one-off payments,
instead of the full payment over time.
Dolores McNamara, 50, from
Garryowen, County Limerick, scooped £77m (112m euros)
in July 2005 on Euro Millions, making her the winner of
Europe's largest lottery jackpot.
You can now
buy
tickets online for
Euro Millions and other National Lottery games.
