Rooney Holds No Grudge Against FAWayne Rooney

Wayne Rooney says he does not blame the Football Association for failing to overturn a three-match ban at the start of the season as he struggles for form.

Rooney was sent off while playing for Manchester United against Porto in Amsterdam in a pre-season friendly.

The suspension was imposed by the Dutch FA and was upheld by the English FA.

"Wayne doesn't blame the FA for any aspect of his current game," said a spokesman for striker Rooney. "He is wholly committed to England."

Despite his below-par form, Rooney is expected to start for England in the forthcoming Euro 2008 qualifiers against Macedonia and Croatia.

The spokesman stressed: "There's no rift whatsoever with the Football Association."
