Leominster Town FC Draw League
Leaders
Leominster
Town FC, sponsored
by CasinoTimes.co.uk, won an important point yesterday with
a 2-2 draw against league leaders Woofferton in the
Herefordshire League Premier Division.
Despite going ahead ahead
with a first-half penalty scored by Jason Evans, Leominster
found themselves 2-1 down by the end of an unimpressive first
half.
Leominster rallied in the
second half with arguably their best performance of the
season so far, pulling back to 2-2 with a goal by Dean
Jordan.
With the draw feeling as
important as a win against such high-flying opposition,
Leominster were probably the better side on the day and
always looked more likely than their opposition to secure
all three points.
Leominster's next fixture
is a league game and will be played at home on Saturday 14
October 2006 at 2:00pm against Pegasus Reserves.
