Snooker Legend Turns To
Poker
The
Irish Poker Championships saw former snooker champion, Steve
Davis, take home 13,500 in winnings in one of its of the
smaller, side tournaments. The final table was a marathon 16
hour sitting, which started on Sunday and finally finished
at 7am the following morning.
Davis wasnt the only
snooker player at the Boylepoker.com championships that took
place in Dublin last weekend, with snooker colleagues Alex
Higgins Ken and Doherty also in the mix to win some of the
prize money. Unfortunately, for the other members of the
snooker turned poker player fraternity, neither advanced
past the Saturday games.
A student from Cork was
the winner of the main event, taking home 150,000 in
winnings.
