Poker Pro Phil Ivey Named 2005
Player Of The Year
Ivey
is considered by pros and fans alike as one of the best
professional Poker
players in the world. His unparalleled success at the tables
in 2005 has earned him the title of Bluff
Magazine's Player
of the Year. His accomplishments include: over $3.4 million
in tournament earnings; 7 final tables; a World Series of
Poker bracelet in $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha; a top 25 finish in
the WSOP Main Event and a win at the 2005 Monte Carlo
Millions.
Despite all his
achievements, Ivey still considers himself a regular guy and
can be seen at the Bellagio
in Las Vegas playing in some of the biggest cash games in
the world.
"I'm honored to win the
Bluff Magazine Player of the Year award and to be recognized
by such a great media outlet as Bluff Magazine," said
Ivey.
"Phil Ivey has emerged as
one of the best players of this generation. His focused play
and success at the table have earned him Bluff's Player of
the Year," said Eddy Kleid, Co-President of Bluff
Magazine.
Bluff Magazine's Player of
the Year is based on the accumulation of points in
Bluff/ESPN Power Ranking for poker players.
