Groups Urged To Seek Lottery
Cash
Community
groups from across Gloucestershire are being urged to apply
for new funding made available by the National
Lottery fund. An
extra £783,803 has been made available for groups from
Gloucestershire to Cornwall to bid for.
It is part of the
Awards
for All scheme,
which makes grants of between £500 and £5,000 to
"grassroots" community groups and voluntary organisations.
Steve Barriball, senior awards officer, said: "These awards
will mean a great deal to those groups which have been
successful in this latest round and, even though the
individual awards are relatively small, they will have an
enormous impact on what there organisations are trying to
achieve and be of great benefit to the local
communities."
He added: "You can get an
application form on 0845 600 20 40. The process is
straightforward with an application form which is short and
easy to complete and those applying will normally hear the
result in about eight weeks.
"So, if you think you have
a project that might qualify for lottery funding through the
Awards for All scheme, we'd love to hear from
you."
