Gala Links Slots With
Broadband
The
UK's leading bingo hall operator, Gala,
is connecting its entire portfolio of more than 100,000 slot
machines and bingo terminals to a broadband network. The
move will allow Gala, which has 166 bingo clubs, to refresh
games digitally over the network, and to collect information
on the takings of each machine.
Inspired Broadcast
Networks, part of Leisure Link, the gaming machine
specialist, won the contract to supply the software platform
after a competitive tender. This is a big contract for the
fast-growing Inspired, which currently supplies software for
8,000 fixed-odds betting terminals in William
Hill shops, and
more than 9,000 jukeboxes and other terminals operated by
Leisure Link.
