Fate Of Christmas Number 1 Betting
News that Simon Cowell has
signed a contract with ITV until 2009 has brought little
Christmas cheer to the William Hill Christmas number 1
market as nobody can compete against the X factor winner for
the converted spot.
"Leona was backed down to
1/100 to top the Christmas Charts over a week ago and I
cannot see us betting on the Christmas number 1 next year as
it is giving money away. Leona has cost us a small fortune

shortened the price of Father Christmas failing to deliver

"Children across the UK
will be worried that Santa will be fogged of this year but
he is a hardy fellow and it is still highly likely that he
will find a way through." said William Hill's spokesman

from Kidderminster has placed a wager of £25 at odds of
25/1 and a second bet of £29 at 29/1 that she will have
her fourth child on either Christmas day or on the 29th of
December to complete a remarkable sequence with her three
previous children born on the 26th, 27th and 28th of
December in that order.
"Wendy will be hoping that
the stork gets lost in fog and delivers slightly late on the
29th as it win her very nearly a £1000." said William
Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.

Jason Bolton from Kent has
placed a £30 bet at 66/1 that Prince William and Kate
will get married on the 19th of July 2007 and if he is
correct will collect a cheque for £2,010.
"Jason will not tell me
why he is so sure but he wanted more than £30 on the
bet and had a very posh accent," said William Hill's
spokesman Rupert Adams.
